About Your Host....
Hi, I'm Joelle, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, my family and I spent many years vacationing in Central Oregon. We fell in love with the towering ponderosa pines, the mountain scenery, and the endless opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Once my children were grown, I made the decision to make Central Oregon my home, a place where hiking, skiing, biking, paddleboarding, and spending time in nature are simply part of everyday life.
I've always found joy in bringing people together and making sure everyone feels comfortable, cared for, and at home. Whether it was hosting family gatherings, celebrating special occasions, or simply creating a welcoming space, hospitality has always come naturally to me.
Before entering the vacation rental industry, I worked in Corporate Housing, where I learned that exceptional hospitality is built on attention to detail, consistency, and anticipating guests' needs. Those experiences continue to shape the way I care for every home today.
The difference is that instead of welcoming people traveling for work, I now have the privilege of welcoming families and friends as they gather, reconnect, celebrate, and create lasting memories together. There's something incredibly special about knowing a home has become the backdrop for a family reunion, a golf trip with lifelong friends, or a vacation that becomes an annual tradition.

Why I do things Differently...
When I first entered the vacation rental industry, I had the opportunity to work alongside homeowners and large vacation rental companies. While I learned a great deal, I also noticed something important: as the industry grew, the personal side of hospitality often got left behind. Homeowners sometimes felt like just another property in a portfolio, and guests often felt like reservation numbers instead of welcomed visitors.
I've always loved hosting. Whether it was gathering family and friends around my table, planning celebrations, or making sure everyone felt comfortable and cared for, creating meaningful experiences has always brought me joy. To me, that's what hospitality has always been about.
When vacation rentals first became popular, they were built on a simple idea, opening your home and welcoming someone in. Somewhere along the way, I think we lost a little of that. I wanted to bring it back.
That's why I intentionally built The Sunriver Collection as a true boutique vacation rental company. Boutique isn't just a word I use, it's the foundation of how I do business. I intentionally keep my portfolio small because I believe exceptional service begins with genuine relationships. I want every homeowner to feel seen, heard, and confident that their home is being cared for with the same attention I would give my own. I want every guest to know there's a real person behind their stay, someone who genuinely cares that their vacation is everything they hoped it would be.
For me, success has never been measured by the number of homes I manage. It's measured by the trust homeowners place in me, the relationships we build, and the families who return year after year to create new memories in the homes they've come to love.
I don't aspire to become the largest vacation rental company. I aspire to be the one homeowners recommend because they know I'll care for their home, communicate honestly, and treat every guest with genuine hospitality. I believe there's something incredibly special about personal service, and it's a philosophy I'll never outgrow.
If you have a home in Sunriver and are looking for a more personal approach to vacation rental management, I'd love to connect. Feel free to reach out anytime.
